Indian City

Guitarist, composer, and producer Vince Fontaine, best known for his multi-award winning band Eagle & Hawk, is making waves with his new ‘supergroup’ Indian City and their debut album “Supernation”.

Indian City is the realization of a creative concept and vision that has been taking shape in Fontaine’s mind for the last few years. Building on his 20-year career in the music industry, the founder and leader of one of North America’s most successful Indigenous groups of the past 10 years has brought together some of today’s best Indigenous music talents in Indian City and is poised to take them to the world stage.

Indian City includes vocalists Pamela Davis and William Prince as well as established award-winning musicians Neewa Mason, Tik Mason (Segway) and rising star Don Amero. The live band is rounded out by Eagle & Hawk veterans Marty Chapman on drums and slick keyboardist Gerry Atwell.

Indian City’s sound is a unique fusion of Indigenous themes and pop, rock and folk. With a live performance that is full of energy and rhythm, the band’s music and lyrics are expressions of the modern conscience of today’s Indigenous people.

Indian City’s debut CD “Supernation” has, in pre-release, already secured radio airplay and headline festival appearances as well as a Western Canadian Music Award, 2 Indian Summer Music Awards and an Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award for “Best Pop”. The band’s powerful stage show and engaging music has already landed them numerous high profile performances including national television performances for Canada’s National Aboriginal Day concert and the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.

Members of Indian City have toured Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Collectively, they have earned over 40 music awards including 2 Juno Awards, 3 Western Canadian Music Awards, 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards, 5 Native American Music Awards and 12 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, 10 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards to name a few. These artists are no strangers to the main stage or the podium and all indicators suggest that collectively, Indian City will rise even higher.
